Happy ending :)

Today was my extremely long Monday.. with classes from 9a.m-10:30p.m, I was definately looking forward to getting home.. ASAP! I ran almost every red light & managed to make it home in less than a hour! go me!!! :) hehe
what made my night was coming home & finding my MAC package as well as my Tarte Clean Slate face primer!

i got a lot of the holiday sets, because let's be honest... i didn't really need anything. i have a lot of makeup. & there's a lot of times i'm either 1.) too tired & don't feel like putting any on or 2.) i'm too rushed to put any on. but, my greedy side came out..
my MAC order consisted of..

Now the primer.. It's a little smaller then I expected. That's it next to my phone. Oh well.. I raved about how great it is, & it is.. so whatever!!

Also, I have to make a new project for school.. I think this time I am going to do it on makeup. I have to create a database & link it to a website I make so I think doing it on makeup will be fun. I am only 1 of 2 girls in the class so I'm sure all the guys will enjoy it as well. ha!

tomorrow I am shipping out my computer so I will not be on as much. Not that I have an abundance of posts but I am trying to get better at posting more frequently. I will be lost without my computer :(.. 2 long weeks...........

i took the night off from work tonight to hang out with some of my fav. gals. our day consisted of movies, eating, movies, & more eating hahaha..

i haven't worn makeup in a few days & i had such an urge to play with some, so my good friend let me doll her up. :)

i'm not sure if it's the computer i'm using or what.. but on my screen the colors don't seem to be showing well. it was a purplish/pinkish look. she's not much of a makeup wear-er.. & i didn't want her makeup to be TOOO much. this is probably even too much for her !

my style varies between so many different things & basically depends on my mood. but 1 of my all time favorites is punk. i love dark makeup, skulls, all that.. so i wanted her hair to look like she had a mohawk sort of.

this was my first time ever doing anything like this, but i love it. i think she looks adorable. obviously it doesnt look like a real mohawk but overall, i love how she looks. she doesnt wear makeup & her hair isn't really her style so i love to see her looking different :)

The start of a bad week..

it's been awhile since i last posted!... i suck at this blogging stuff. my busy life.. ugh! well, it will be a few days before i will really be able to blog again. my laptop isn't working :'(. i feel lost without it. the video card went nutzo... & now it won't turn on. i called dell & a tech guy is supposed to be coming hopefully sometime this week to replace a few parts on it. :- blah.

anyway, it was back to school this week :-X & unfortunately started off with monday classes which is enough to make anyone crazy. i have class 9a.m-1:50p.m then 6p.m-10:30p.m on mondays. i live close to a hr away so i leave the house around 8a.m & dont get home till 11:30p.m. i usually find something to do on that 4 hr break because driving home is pointless. THEN, to make it worse, i have class again tuesday morning. so by this time today, i'm pretty much exhausted. GROWING UP SUCKS! heh.
oh, & to make it worse.. on my way home from school today i got pulled over & got a ticket for an expired inspection. it expired jan. 1. the freakin' b*#!& could have cut me some slack! geez.. i didn't even know. a warning would have gotten the point across. not to be stupid, but my car is a '08, i'm pretty sure it will pass inspection.. i really think she could of let me go- but whatev.
so i ate lunch with my pops after school & then we did some running around & got my car inspected... & when i got home, i had a package :))) which made me happy.

i watched a youtube video which was a review on the blush/bronzer duo. the girl compared it to NARS. i do not have the NARS one so i can't compare.

i got a eye makeup brush, slanted foundation, blush/bronzer duo, eyebrow tame & treat, & eyebrow wax & powder.

it was only $14.45 with shipping & tax. :)

i also just ordered $205 of stuff from MAC before tax.. but as we all know, there is the 25% off going on.. so i think it came to around $168 something with tax. i did think twice before i placed the order because i have been such a shopaholic lately.. but then real fast i just clicked the place order button & that was that. psh, i need to cheer myself up with the week i'm having! i swear, everything is going wrong at once.

welllll... hopefully i will be able to do a few more posts today. lucky for me, my sister doesn't mind sharing her laptop with me :) ciao

Goodies, goodies & more goodies!

whew... so it's been over a week so i've last posted. i have been busy with holiday stuff, work, & just having a little fun :)
i've been shopping & ordering things left & right. My mother got me a GPS which i totally love... & i have NEVER been to a CCO ever, so i decided why not put my GPS to good use & make a little trip. i went with my 2 sisters & ended up getting a few things.


it's a little dark, i apologize!.. so i got.... emote blush, true romantic blush, sculpt & shape powder, royal assets cool palette, blot powder, vellum eyeshadow, & a lip gloss. all for $100. not bad. i also got lip erase from Miss. Vanessa M.... which i'm totally loving! I will do a full review when i have used it longer :)

thennn... my sister, who i just loveee (hehe) got me 1 of the holiday brush sets & of course, i had to get another set myself because i just love that they're red. i also ordered the cool pigments & they FINALLY came today. i ordered them over 2 weeks ago-how annoying! i had to call MAC & tell them to ship them. what is that! overall, i called them a total of 5 times before they were actually shipped & i got a tracking #. BOO

i got 2 pajamas & slippers. ALL are the same print. i was eyeing these before christmas so i was ecstatic to see them on sale. :-D 1 set is thermal pjs the other is a sleep shirt. love them! i also got an eyeshadow, sexy little things lotion, & a keychain. all that for $70! there were a few things i was looking for that i didn't see in the store so i'll have to order them from the site.
& then, last but not least.. i love changing my appearance. i picked up a pair of glasses a few months ago with no prescription just to give me a different look on certain days & i loved them. so i decided to pick up a couple other pairs..



red 1s with leopard print & a pair of purple ones because i'm loving purple lately.
now the sad part... i haven't gotten to use any of this stuff :( this is all stuff i have bought AFTER christmas & doesn't inlcude any of the gifts i received. i have been working 11-10 each day so i don't feel extremely guilty about buying it all. i decided i wanted a brand new car last year so those payments are a bummer each month. :-X & tomorrow marks 1 year exactly that i've had my car! it was such an exciting day hehehe.

Silly Girls

my friend's dinner got pushed to Monday because of a snow storm on Sunday... & because of unbearably cold weather Monday, we decided not to wear dresses. so i never got to wear my dress. :( last minute i had to find something suitable to wear. luckily i threw something together & still managed to be ready on time. (i swear that was a 1st! i am ALWAYS late!! :[ haha)

it was a fun time. we went to a fondue place, & i swear all of our minds must not have been working what so ever! we were all acting as if we never socialize. our poor waitor must have thought we were weirdos. we couldn't help but to laugh at ourselves & the more we "tried" to act normal, the worse it was! hahahaha. :-p no one bothered checking the time while we were there, all we knew was that we were there for awhile. we asked our waitor if it usually takes awhile to eat there, he was a little hesitant & answered yes, a table of 5 usually takes about 2 hours. by the time we finally left, we realized we were there for 4 hours. HAHA! i'm sure he thought we were total fools, but that's okay.... what did he expect? we were just 4 girls havin fun :)

out of the 4 of us, my friend (the birthday girl) & i, were the only 2 who decided to get drinks. I don't drink, ever! 100% sober in every way. no drinking or drugs for me, but i decided i would have a glass of wine with dinner... & wow, this is sad-but i was feeling it after just 1 glass! LOL. i cut myself off after 1. my friend on the other hand kept going & that was quite entertaining. :)

Dinner Date

one of my friends just turned 21, we are planning to go out to eat Sunday at a restaurant of her choice. since it's her birthday, her rules! she wanted us all to wear dresses.. & hey-that's fine by me! i love a reason to dress up! :)
so.. i went dress shopping the other day. i was pressed for time & couldn't go to many stores. i love shopping, i love clothes.. BUT, i am short.. like 5'2.. & have big boobs, so of course NOTHING ever fits right! :[ urghh.. so finding a dress that wasn't too long, but fit my boobs was difficult. these 2 are the only ones that fit the best. they aren't too dressy, but i still like them.

please excuse the pics! ... i was in a rush & didn't want to take off my leggings or boots- HAHA! so i look a bit foolish.

the 1st 1 is satin & bunched around the waist & hips with a slit in the back. the 2nd 1 is just simple with black lace on top & a belt around the waist. neither are too fancy, but they'll work & i can re-use them for another occasion.

which 1 should i wear?!.. #1 or 2? or neither?! & my hair is another issue. i've been anti-bangs lately. should i wear them down? or pin them back?... i was thinking of putting my hair in rollers for a big, curly hair look. who knows! i never have a plan. everything i do is random & spur of the moment. plans never work out for me.

anyone have suggestions for me? :)

The Beauty Workbook

So, I've been seeing some reviews on the Cosmo Beauty Book. I don't own it, but I do own a few beauty books, I'll do reviews on the others another time.. but I'll start with one I own called The Beauty Workbook.
I like this book because it's divided into 5 different chapters, 1st being Skin, 2. Sun, 3. Makeup, 4. Hair, & 5. Nails.


Chapter 1 gives all different information on skin, from helping you find your skin type, how to care for that skin type, how to take care of your skin in general, etc.

Chapter 2 talks about the Sun. We all love the sun, but it's extremely damaging as we all know... but do we all know how damaging? This explains.

3rd- Makeup. Isn't that why most of you are reading? hehe. The author talks about her personal experiences with makeup while growing up. She says in here, "For me, makeup was and is a joy, not a chore.." So, we can relate. She talks about different colors of makeup & how to use makeup, tools of the trade & essential brushes (how they're used & how to take care of them), steps on applying makeup, what color goes good with different hair colors & ethnicities, plus much more.

4th is Hair which explains how to take good care of your hair, what styling tools you should use, hair myths, hair products, yadda yadda yadda...

Numero cinco... Nails. This is basically the same, but a nail version. Tips for your nails, taking good care of them, etc.

Love this book! & it's cheap.. which is great. The more you save, the more you have to spend on other things. lol. This blog probably makes me sound extremely cheap... which is very untrue. I can't keep money in my pocket for the life of me. I am always buying something, but I get the bargain shopping from mama.. :)
