This vs. That: Lashes

MAC 42 Lashes vs. a similar pair on eBay. Some of you may hate these lashes because they are a bit dramatic, while others may love it and it might be right up your alley. I am one of the ones who loves them! I own both of these. I bought the MAC pair first and then found this set on eBay. (since my photography skills are lacking, I had to browse eBay to find a picture of the 2nd pair.) They aren't identical, but they are a close dupe! & you can get a pack of 8 pairs for around $5 including shipping while MAC's cost $12 for 1 pair. The only downfall is they are a bit annoying to put on because the band is so thick and stiff! I stopped wearing falsies for awhile and when I tried to apply these bad boys one day out of the blue, they gave me some trouble!

Who else loves saving money?!!

MAC Holiday Collection 2010: A Tartan Tale

While browsing online I came across these pictures. This is the upcoming MAC Holiday collection. I think this collection looks cute! I really like the brush sets because it seems normally MAC has the same brushes in each set. It looks like this time they switched it up by adding different brushes, such as the 227 as 1 of the eyeshadow brushes and even changed the grouping as well. It looks like they combined face brushes and eye brushes in both sets as compared to having face brushes all in one set and eye brushes in another. I also love how they look just like the full size brushes, but in a travel size. (As in black with silver handle, instead of red, green, etc in previous collections) I own most of the MAC full size brushes so I don't necessarily need these, but I have to say-I am tempted!! What do you guys think? Impressed or no? & what do you think you'll buy, if anything?

Bored Much?

What do you do when you need a change? The first thing I do is change something about my appearance...whether it's something drastic like dyeing/cutting my hair or something simple like hitting the tanning booth.

The other day was one of those days. I was sick of looking at myself and needed to do something quick.
I've had the "Monroe" piercing since I was 18. I got it before it became popular and then once it did, I took mine out. I always wore the smallest possible jewelry with a tiny gem just like everyone else because I thought it was cute and girly. I decided to repierce it and this time put a black stud in to actually give it that "beauty mark" effect. I like it for the meantime...it's something different and just what I needed.

Does anyone else get in these moods? & how do you fix it?!

Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion and Peel

Let me start off by saying I have never tried any other type of microdermabrasoin kit so I can't do a comparison, this is just a review from my point of view after using this product.

I purchased this about 2 weeks ago from Walmart for about $25 and have been using it twice a week. It claims to diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles and reveal smoother, softer and more even-toned skin.
I can say that the look and feel of my skin has improved since using. My skin feels softer and smoother and also looks more radiant. I have read some reviews where people have claimed that their pores look smaller...so far I don't see a change in my pores but I'm hoping to have the same results! (the pores on my cheeks next to my nose are on the larger side).

This is a great product for the price. If anyone else is interested in trying microdermabrasion but don't want to spend a handful of money, give this a go and see how it works for you! Spend the extra money on a new lipstick or a cute pair of shoes! ;-)

Until next time dolls...xoxo

This vs. That: Cream/Gel Liners

I don't know about anyone else, but I prefer gel or cream liners over liquid or pencil. I love the lasting power of the gel/cream and also the intensity of color. There are so many different options as far as brands and colors go when deciding to buy any makeup. Some people prefer only high end, some prefer only drug store, others prefer whatever gets the job done..which is me. lol

We've all heard of MAC fluidline. It is one of the more popular gel liners on the market and many people own and use it. I do own it and I do love it, but is it my favorite? Ehh, I don't know about that. My first liner of this style was the L'Oreal HIP cream liner in black. It worked well and I liked it but it seemed to have dried out so fast. The cost of the L'Oreal liner was about $10, I figured if I was spending that much for drugstore why not just try the MAC. So I made my way to MAC and picked it up. It had great consistency and the color was also intense, it didn't seem to try out nearly as fast so overall I was pleased...and then I came across Wet n'Wild cream liner. The price is ridiculously cheap (around or less then $4!) and let me add the quality is great! I love this stuff!! I pick this over the fluidline each and every day! The only downfall is that the packaging isn't nearly as nice and looks cheap. I am someone who cares about packaging but if you can get past that, then it's a great product. Definitely thumbs up...save yourself some moola and give it a shot!

Baking Fun: Tie Dye Cake

I spent the afternoon yesterday baking with my little brothers. I wanted to do something out of the ordinary and surprise them so this is what we came up with!

It was a little more time consuming then the average cake but I just love how it looks and they were so excited when I cut them a piece. I was a little worried that it might have a funny taste from the food coloring but no worries at all, it was actually very yummy! haha

Has anyone ever made one before?!

How cute are these?

Mini Haul

I stopped at MAC the other day to pick up a lipstick I needed for a swap. For some reason blush is something I always seem to pass on, & it's not that I don't like blush because I actually love it...I guess I am just content with what I have. (which doesn't include very many MAC blushes)
So I decided my MAC blush palette needs to be filled. I picked up Pink Swoon and Blunt. Pink Swoon is already depotted and in the palette, I think it's such a nice color...but Blunt is still in the box, in my drawer. I am a NC30 naturally with no tan and I know this would be a good contouring color but I am afraid maybe it will be too dark? At the moment I am using my MAC Emote blush for contouring and it seems to do the job perfectly...Emote is quite a bit lighter so I don't know.

Does anyone have any input for me? Should I keep Blunt or exchange it for a different color? Help a girl out!

This vs. That: Primers

We've all heard of UDPP, it works wonders and we all love it....however lately I've noticed that it is bothering my eyes. Maybe it always has, who knows?..But I am realizing it now. My eyes itch shortly after applying and sometimes they even begin to water.

This is annoying for a few reasons.
1. I just want to itch my eyes therefore messing up my eyeshadow.
2.) my eyeliner/mascara starts to run, and...
3.) it's just plain uncomfortable!!!

Not cool!

I haven't tried too many others but the few I have just didn't work. They caused creasing and it was just a mess. (although sometimes I do like the messy look). I decided to give the Pilladio eye primer from Sally's a try. I have to say I like it. It doesn't cause irritation to my eye :-) but the packaging is smaller then UDPP and also the same, causing a lot of product to go to waste.

Moral of the story...if anyone else's eyes are irritated by UDPP or any other primer for that matter, the Pilladio is affordable and easier to get to. (well, for me anyway!) Just a suggestion...

Until next time dolls, hugs & kisses xoxo

Lady Gaga: Ridiculous or Not?

Now, don't get me wrong..I like her music, but COME ON. She is just completely ridiculous. Half the things she does is unnecessary and her "dress" she wore to the VMA's was made of raw meat, along with her shoes, hat and purse. I am not a vegetarian but animals die daily for us to eat. Okay, we are surviving off that...but for her to wear it as an outfit I don't agree with.

I don't buy it that she's just "1 of a kind' or "trying to stand out". The girl is an idiot and obviously starving for attention in every way possible, as if being famous isn't enough attention for her already.

What are your thoughts?

This too shall pass

I have a serious obsession with piercings and tattoos! I got my 4th tattoo today & I must say I really love it :-) I love that it's different then most of the tattoos you see on other people. It says "this too shall pass" which is very inspirational because time heals all & what may cause sorrow now will eventually become something in the past.

What do you guys think? Does anyone else love tattoos??

Moonlight

I absolutely love this color by China Glaze. I probably wear this 95% of the time, occasionally switching it up...but this color is such a great color. It looks very classy and clean on. The picture makes it appear more white then it really is, it's actually more of a see through white color. I absolutely adore it! If anyone is looking for a simple nail color that goes with everything  & looks classy, I definitely suggest this! 2 coats topped with Seche Vite & you're good to go! :-)

Retail Therapy

Hey Dolls-
I did a little bit of shopping during the week and brought home a few goodies. Nothing extreme but enough to keep a girl happy :-) I am by far, the worst picture taker ever...so I was unable to take pictures of everything I bought, but what can ya do. & due to work I missed the fabulous felines event!

The Makeup

MAC paint pot in Soft Ochre
MAC 252 Brush
2 MAC 130 Brushes
MAC lipstick in Snob
& MAC Mineralize SkinFinish in NC30

to be honest, I don't know why I got 2 of the 130's. I  think it was by accident but I really wanted the 131, which there was none of.

The Glasses

I am LOVING both of these glasses! They really add that extra bit of style to any outfit.

The Jewelry

I found this necklace at Target & fell in love! I don't know how much this picture does it justice but it's just a really great statement piece. I have yet to wear it but I can't wait until I do!

I also bought a snake necklace from Guess which I also love & some Betsey Johnson jewelry but as mentioned above, I'm no photographer & I'm lucky if I get somewhat decent pics!

Well, that's it! until next time...

My Newest Love

I upgraded my Samsung Instinct HD to the new HTC Evo for Sprint.. & OMG, I LOVE this phone!

I do absolutely everything on it & it never seems to let me down. At first I was a little iffy about the size. I wasn't sure if I could get used to it being so big & I'm so girly, it just didn't seem right for me...but it seems like nothing now. Don't get me wrong, it still feels like a beast in my hands, but it's definitely love. <3 hehe & I am really impressed with the Android operating system. If anyone is looking into a new phone, I highly recommend anything that has Android running on it! :-)

wow, welcome back ME!

Hey guys! Long time no talk..I've been MIA.

I took some time away from blogger to focus on school & I graduated about 8 months ago with a degree in Web Development & guess what!- I'm so not interested in doing it! :[ so I'm soon to be enrolling into beauty school. lol-what a shocker!

Anyway, I'm hoping I can get the hang of this again.. "/ wish me luck! ;* xoxo
